RESEARCH: on animations explored through music videos
The morning Elegance by Oren Lavie is rather clever the way they incorporated different materials into this stop-motion by creating an outside movement into it displaced on a bed they explore different themes marine life and the sky scenes. From watching this your placed in there shoes and it explores how creative you can be with objects leaving a sort of powerful effect on the viewer.
Gotye in this music video explore different colours through stop-motion as he and the triangular and colourful toned background gradually begin to sync together in an almost camouflage way.
Peter Gabriel in this music video featured different materials for his animation paint, chalk/chalkboard and people themselves were incorporated in an animated stop-motion effect the most recognizable material he used was clay in clever ways in one scene it shows a hammer smashing the ice formed into the shape of his head which rather creative.
This video me and the team were all familiar of but were re-introduced to by one of our teachers was very inspiring towards the making of our final design the creativity in this film were shown incredibly well and we enjoyed the feel to it but if we were to incorporate their background style to ours in a fairly similar way, we would need to tone it down until towards the end of our video.
